Things on the horzion

Thus begins the new era of blogging at The Messenger. While I don’t have any specific thoughts to divulge now, I wanted to let everyone know what I have planned for this blog as it develops.

With this blog, I hope to provide little tidbits of information and insights that might not otherwise make it to print. Also, as a sports reporter, I stumble upon many humorous sites and articles, none better than deadspin.com. I plan to include links to those stories and hopefully get some feedback on stories that are happening nationally and what local residents feel.

This isn’t quite OchoCinco’s twitter update, but hopefully it will provide similar news and entertainment for sports fans in Hopkins County.

By the way, I tried to make my blog picture Kenny Powers-esque for those who watch HBO’s Eastbound and Down.
